ABOUT REBLOOM HAWAII

Who’s Behind Rebloom

A life-long "earth citizen", Eclectic Quality Curator and Store Proprietor Lynn Kenton moved to Hawaii in 1991 upon accepting a recycling coordinator position with the City and County of Honolulu.

Just prior to moving here, Lynn was working as a recycling coordinator for a council of governments in her hometown - her first job post-undergraduate completion.

Rebloom Hawaii is the continuation of Lynn’s commitment to the helping our environment plus understanding the challenges of shopping for new furniture in our island home.

What Is the Symbolism of Rebloom’s Logo

Mahalo nui loa to Hui Ku Maoli Ola Native Plant Specialists for recommending Rebloom Hawaii's logo.

The logo image highlights the flower of one of Hawaii’s endemic trees Lama, Diospyrosis Sandwichensis.  The beautiful Lama tree’s flowers are tiny, about 1/8” in diameter, and emerge at the leaf access. Once pollinated small, oval shaped fruit develop.

The Lama tree, sometimes referred to as Hawaiian ebony, Hawaiian persimmon or Elama, is an endemic species found within the ahupua`a where Rebloom Hawaii is located.

It is uncertain if any Lama trees remain in the east Honolulu region.
